If I pre-order, likely when can I expect to receive the headset?

We are expecting to receive the first batch of Pimax Crystal Super during Q3 of 2025. We will priorities fulfiling the pre-orders before regular orders.

What is the default optical engine?

The default setting of Pimax Crystal Super will come with the 50 PPD QLED. The 57 PPD QLED optical engine will be launched some time later.
