As part of Pimax's commitment towards lowering the barrier of entry for their premium headsets, they have split costs into two parts. The pricing above will only include the cost of the headset, and not their membership pass.
Pimax Prime Basic Membership (activated through going to Pimax Play):
- 24 months at $40.99 USD/month
- Or: One-off payment of $886 USD
After 24 months (or if you decide to pay off Prime in one go), the whole headset is yours and you'll never be required to pay for any subscription. The subscription is tied to your headset, so even if you sell it, the subscription won't reset.
This payment is made to Pimax, not to VR Base.
*You'll start paying the monthly membership fees in app 10 days after activating your Crystal Light.
FAQs
If I pre-order, likely when can I expect to receive the headset?
We are expecting to receive the first batch of Pimax Crystal Super at the end of Q2 or early Q3 of 2025. We will priorities fulfiling the pre-orders before regular orders.
What is the default optical engine?
The default setting of Pimax Crystal Super will come with the 50 PPD QLED. The 57 PPD QLED optical engine will be launched some time later.
